Ennismore is celebrating Founder & Co-CEO Sharan Pasricha’s news – having been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in The Queen’s Birthday Honours 2022 for his contribution to the hospitality industry.
“I am incredibly thrilled and humbled to be awarded an honour and to be recognised in this way – especially during The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
“I can’t begin to thank those who have been with me on this journey; from those who started with me at the beginning of Ennismore working in a broom cupboard at The Hoxton, Shoreditch, to those who have joined since and passionately continue our mission to build brands rooted in community – I share this recognition with each of them.
“Finally, I’d like to thank my family, especially my wife Eiesha, who has been by my side throughout; I couldn’t do what I do without her.” Said Sharan Pasricha MBE, Founder & Co-CEO of Ennismore.
Pasricha founded Ennismore in 2011 and under his leadership the business saw exponential growth, including the global expansion of The Hoxton across Europe and the US; the reinvention of Gleneagles, the iconic glorious playground in the Scottish Highlands, and the creation of Working From_ a shared community workspace. During this time, Ennismore was included in Fast Company’s World Most Innovative Companies in 2020 and 2021 and selected as part of the Financial Times Future 100 – the UK’s fastest-growing businesses that are shaping the future of their sector.
In 2021, Pasricha entered into a joint venture with Accor to make Ennismore the world’s largest and fastest-growing global lifestyle hospitality company, bringing together 14 of the most highly recognised entrepreneurial and founder-built brands, representing 97 operating properties, a further 150 in the pipeline.
Pasricha has been included in Conde Nast Traveller’s ’50 People Changing The Way We Travel’; The Caterer’s Top 100 Most Powerful People in Hospitality, and was awarded the Alumni GOLD (Graduate of the Last Decade) by his alma mater, London Business School, in 2018 – where he obtained his MBA. Before founding Ennismore, Pasricha’s career included the turnaround of a leading leather garment manufacturer in India, starting a media start-up focused on the UK student market, and a brief stint working in private equity.
