Chelsom is delighted to announce the appointment of James Bartlett who joins the design team in the brand-new role of Chief Design Officer. This exciting appointment comes as the company looks to further expand as a global leader in the design and supply of decorative lighting to the international hospitality, marine and residential sectors.
James joins Chelsom having worked at Innermost Ltd since 2008, initially as a London based Product Designer and Developer, and for the last 10 years as Head of Product Development for Brand and OEM in Hong Kong. With a strong background in the design, development and manufacturing of decorative lighting, James has a wealth of experience in designing both bespoke and range lighting for the contract and consumer markets.
Chelsom has worked hard to successfully establish its reputation as a global design focussed business, creating versatile lighting collections to fulfil the needs and desires of the finest interior designers. James’ extensive background in this field means he will play a huge role in all aspects of Chelsom’s product development in the future, designing original design concepts for the Chelsom brand and looking at ways to further enhance the company’s overall product and service offering. On top of Chelsom’s in-house designed product, James will play a key role in assisting with the bespoke product requirements from designers on interiors projects around the world.
Managing Director, Will Chelsom, said, “We are so thrilled to have James on board as Chelsom continues to strive forward as a design-led business. We are constantly looking to innovate with design and to redefine our lighting collections by reacting to the ever-changing demands and trends that exist within our global marketplace. James will be a superb addition to our brilliant product team, adding flair and a new creative dimension. Today at Chelsom, we continue on our journey forward as we prepare for the global launch of our new lighting collection, Edition 28, at Clerkenwell Design Week in May. It is a great time for James to join and we wish him the best of luck!”
