DesignAgency has announced the appointment of Julia Summerville to Principal.
Ms Summerville’s promotion recognises the former Design Director’s strengths as a designer, a project manager, and a trusted client partner.
“We welcome Julia’s leadership as we continue to strengthen the practice,” said Matt Davis, Founding Partner. “As we identify new ways to create engaging and immersive environments, we know how important it is to evolve and add new voices to address the needs of a rapidly changing world. Julia’s addition to DesignAgency’s leadership is an honour we celebrate with our talented team.”
Ms Summerville joined DesignAgency in 2015 and quickly emerged as a key contributor to the studio’s portfolio of hospitality destinations. She has amplified DesignAgency’s luxury portfolio with the success of projects such as St. Regis Hotel’s lobby and signature restaurant Louix Louis, The Ritz-Carlton’s Epoch Kitchen & Terrace, The Dalmar Fort Lauderdale, as well as Pendry Hotels across various locations, and many other foundational brands in the hospitality industry.
“Julia is a remarkable asset to both DesignAgency and the profession at large,” said Alexandra Cole, US Managing Director and Principal. “Her positive rapport is evident in both her projects and the shared sense of satisfaction of everyone who works with her. Julia is not only a generous collaborator and colleague, but a great mentor and leader.”
