Native Places, the UK’s leading lifestyle aparthotel brand, has announced the promotion of Olivia Immesi to the role of Chief Executive Officer.
As CEO, Immesi is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Native Places business which includes
a portfolio of seven ApartHotels, 11 serviced apartments under The Apartment Collection, Counter – the
brand’s food and beverage offering, and Ducie Street Warehouse – a one-stop lifestyle destination.
Immesi joined Native Places as Managing Director in 2021, transforming an aparthotel offering into the
lifestyle brand it is today. Streamlining operations and building a high-performing team and successful
workplace culture has been instrumental in leading the strategic development of the group.
One of Immesi’ key objectives is to accelerate expansion of operations further across the UK. Native King’s
Wardrobe, St Paul’s will open its doors in 2024 bringing the total to four design-led aparthotels in London.
Further openings in the pipeline for 2025 include Fulham, London and Birmingham which will mark a new
UK destination for the brand.
Crucially, Immesi will continue driving the evolution of brand standards across the portfolio. Most
imminently, she will oversee the significant renovation of Native Glasgow with the new penthouse and
premium studios available in March 2024 and the full property transformation completed by early 2025.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Immesi’s journey began when she worked
on the launch of the original Hoxton and Ace Hotel London. Immesi was then appointed Director of Sales
at the Hoxton Hotel, where she held this position for six years before she was headhunted to develop and
implement sales and marketing strategies at the first Ace Hotel in Europe. In 2018, Immesi became general
manager of The Curtain Hotel and members club in Shoreditch (now a Mondrian Hotel).
Immesi is a fierce advocate of “conscious consumption” and is passionate about harnessing existing
relationships with the local community and championing diversity within the team, as well as being a
passionate advocate for flexible working and job share opportunities. She has ambitious plans for
sustainability across the company with Native Places set to be a net zero carbon operation by 2030.
Native Places was founded in 1998 with the aim of providing all guests travelling for business, pleasure or
both, with a home from home experience, offering guests a more integrated and flexible approach than
a traditional hotel stay. Providing beautifully designed apartments with the flexibility and space to
entertain friends and family with a fully equipped kitchen makes staying at a Native apartment a more
cost-effective way of experiencing a city, without compromising on quality.
Commenting on her new role, Olivia Immesi said: “I am delighted to start a new role and chapter
within Native Places. Having been with the brand for just three years now, I’m looking forward to
conscientiously cultivating the brand further and cementing our position as the leading lifestyle aparthotel
provider in the UK. Driving our ambitious expansion plans into Europe, we will continue to reshape the
hospitality sector whilst developing innovative concepts that connect our guests with local communities
whilst prioritising sustainable operations, stylish design, extra space and greater flexibility for our guests”
