Dorchester Collection has announced the appointment of Christoph Moje as general manager of Los Angeles’ Hotel Bel-Air.
With almost 30 years’ experience in luxury hotels across the America, Christoph re-joined Dorchester Collection seven years ago as hotel manager for sister property, The Beverly Hills Hotel. In 2021, he made the transition across to Hotel Bel-Air as hotel manager and he will now take on the role of general manager.
Christoph’s previous roles include numerous managerial positions within hotel groups, including The Ritz- Carlton Hotel Company and the Langham Hospitality Group. He also spent a period with the Dorchester Collection in the late noughties as hotel manager of the New York Palace before moving to Hotel Bel-Air for its triumphant relaunch in 2011.
Christoph, who hails from Hamburg in Germany, graduated from the Bavaria Hotel Management School. Having now lived in America for nearly 30 years he considers California to be his home.
Commenting on his new role, Christoph said, “I am thrilled to be taking on the position of general manager at Hotel Bel-Air, a property that I have a deep connection with having worked on its magnificent reopening more than a decade ago. It is LA’s ultimate enclave of exclusivity and I am proud to be leading the hotel’s dedicated team into what promises to be an exciting new period for this much-loved, iconic hotel.”
