Eric Vökel, renowned for its distinctive boutique apartments across Europe, has unveiled its newest addition in Amsterdam: Eric Vökel Riverfront Suites. Nestled within the iconic Pontsteiger Building in Houthaven, one of Amsterdam’s burgeoning neighbourhoods, the development marks the ninth property in the brand’s portfolio, and its second in the Dutch capital.

The opening of Eric Vökel Riverfront Suites represents a significant milestone in Amsterdam’s hospitality scene, tailored to meet the evolving demands of contemporary travellers, particularly within the digital nomad community.

Housed in the iconic building by renowned architects Arons & Gelauff, Eric Vökel Riverfront Suites offers its guests carefully curated and designed interiors in a unique building with a glowing outside layer depending on the position of the sun. Drawing inspiration from the area’s vibrant design ethos, the Riverfront Suites feature 12 intimate and welcoming apartments, each offering panoramic views of the IJ river. Merging the functionality of Nordic design with the warmth of the Mediterranean, these accommodations are a testament to Eric Vökel’s commitment to both style and comfort.

Accommodation options range from spacious one to two-bedroom apartments, spanning from 40m2 to 50m2, featuring cosy mezzanines. Each apartment boasts expansive living areas complete with a dining table and a fully equipped kitchen, accommodating up to five guests comfortably. Characterised by clean lines and elegant finishes, including natural wood and glass elements, the interiors are designed to exude brightness and warmth. Floor-to-ceiling windows beckon guests to savour the stunning views of Amsterdam’s northern skyline and immerse themselves in the vitality of the surrounding neighbourhood.

Embracing a passion for art, the beds feature Eric Vökel’s original headboards adorned with hydraulic mosaic tiles, infusing the space with personality and colour, while paying homage to Barcelona, the brand’s birthplace. Additionally, each living room features a mural of the city crafted by local emerging artists, including photographers and painters such as Fátima Tocornal and Març Rabal, to further immerse guests in the local culture and bring character to the space.

Guests at the Riverfront Suites are invited to indulge in a true ‘home away from home’ experience. Each apartment is meticulously furnished to ensure guests have everything they need to fully immerse themselves in the destination.
