New Park Manor, part of the Luxury Family Hotels collection, has reopened its doors following a significant renovation. The New Forest property, located just outside Brockenhurst, has undergone a full refurbishment of all 25 rooms and public areas including The Vinery and Stag restaurant spaces, the expansive family-friendly spa and multitude of children’s facilities such as the Ofsted-registered Four Bears Den children’s club.
Heading up the design is the team at StudioJill who have worked with the collection across Fowey Hall and Moonfleet Manor, which both relaunched last year. Her inspiration comes from the property’s roots as King Charles II’s hunting lodge and ancient New Forest folklore, working with a palette of Autumnal woodland hues and earthy tones.
The Vinery Restaurant, set off the reimagined reception, blends rustic charm with contemporary design. Filled with natural light, the space will feature an earthy palette of green, brown, rust, and weathered oak, creating a calming, informal space for guests to enjoy breakfast and afternoon tea. The Stag Restaurant and Bar, a blend of country style and richer textures, provides a more elevated experience for evening cocktails and dinner.
Inspired by the forest and woodland, the rooms feature a mix of textured fabrics and patterned wallpaper and incorporates a playful use of nooks and secret spaces, designed with little ones in mind. Throughout the property’s design, guests will notice a subtle nod to Alice in Wonderland, with whimsical mushrooms painted on the walls and distorted checks dotted around; this is particularly noticeable in the Ofsted-registered Four Bears Den, where children can immerse themselves in an array of fun-filled activities.
Aiming to become one of the UK’s leading family-friendly spas, the complete refresh of New Park Manor’s spa includes an expanded spa terrace with two new hot tubs, and the arrival of a state-of-the-art meditation “Somadome” pod. The family-friendly ishga spa will emulate clean, Scandi-inspired design, creating a serene setting for the whole family. The spa caters to children as young as three years old with Luxury Family Hotels’ newly introduced ‘Little ishga’ range, which offers a range of mini treatments from facials to massages.
New Park Manor’s public Somadome is just one of four throughout the UK, and the only Somadome available south of London. Available for ages six years and above, this freestanding, immersive space uses LED colour and light therapy, binaural beat meditation and magnetic therapy to create profound mental, physical and spiritual benefits. The Somadome experience has been proven to reduce stress, improve sleep quality, increase mindful relaxation, and even to help with pain management and sports recovery, as well as create an exciting and engaging meditation experience for younger guests.
New Park Manor will be introducing new Spa Day and Spa Membership programming, ideal for local New Forest and Hampshire residents and families. A new 3-month Summer Spa Membership is perfect for the school holidays from mid-May through to September, with access to the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool and spa facilities (including the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, two hot-tubs, sauna, and steam room). Members also receive 20% off treatments, food and beverage, and accommodation up to £250 per visit.
Catering to both adults and children, New Park Manor is launching a series of “Pamper Days”. Spa day options range from “Mum to Be”, which includes a pre-natal ishga massage and a lunch or afternoon tea, to a “Mini and Me” parent and child spa day, which includes a 25-minute adult treatment, two child-friendly mini Little ishga treatments and a cream tea which can be enjoyed together.
