Miiro has announced the launch of Templeton Garden, marking the brand’s debut in the UK and the fourth opening in Europe. The property is situated in leafy, historic Earl’s Court, once a rural idyll neighbourhood, home to writers Beatrix Potter and Agatha Christie, which has now evolved into one of the capital’s most well-connected hubs.
The property’s unique garden forms the green heart of the hotel while upholding the area’s leafy heritage – where contemporary design seamlessly blends with timeless English elegance. Templeton Garden features 156 rooms and suites, some with their own balconies and many revealing gorgeous views of the verdant garden or Templeton Place, with each space designed as a calming city retreat. Guests can choose from a range of eight individually designed room options, including Single, Classic, Classic – Garden View, Twin, Superior, Deluxe, Junior Suite, Templeton Garden Suite categories, the latter offering the luxury of a private garden or direct access to the main garden.

Collaborating with some of the most highly-acclaimed British designers, studios and consultancies in the industry; Thurstan, Holland & Harvey, Cox London, Tess Newall, and Art Story, Templeton Garden’s contemporary interiors have been carefully thought out to create a peaceful sanctuary for guests and locals alike. The bar features a custom illuminated oak branch chandelier, designed and crafted by Cox London, to echo the surrounding area, bringing the outside in, and incorporating a nod to the properties own vibrant garden. The restaurant and bar houses a bespoke mural, designed and hand-painted on site by decorative artist Tess Newall, inspired by the foliage growing in the garden, the mural further instills serenity in the space. Finally, Art Story has curated a carefully considered art collection for display throughout the property, in keeping with Thurstan’s neutral interior and curated to celebrate local talent.

The restaurant and bar at Templeton Garden are truly the beating heart of the property, both overlooking the hotel’s own garden, they pull a lot of their inspiration from British seasons. Sprout is a neighbourhood bar offering a dynamic menu which features both signature mainstays and an ever-changing selection of serves, using a market-stall ethos and incorporating traceable ingredients at the height of their season, including freshly grown herbs from the hotel garden. Led by Bar Director, Will Meredith, Sprout has coined a unique ‘Keystone Cocktail’ approach for the bar’s signature serves, with each drink centred around a defining keystone element, such as, the colour, the ingredients, or a vibrant garnish. Guests are able to enjoy cocktails on the bar terrace which acts as an outdoor extension for the summer months.

Pippin’s is a modern British restaurant located in the heart of the hotel, led by Head Chef; Liam Fauchard-Newman. With 62 covers, the large home-from-home dining room features an open kitchen and indoor-outdoor seating. Liam has created menus that evoke a sense of nostalgia, sourcing local foods that are woven in throughout the menus, with foraged elements from the restaurant’s own garden incorporated into some of the dishes. Featuring established flavour combinations, including rhubarb and custard and chicken and chips.
Templeton Garden is home to a neighbourhood café-meets-deli, with its own street entrance separate to the hotel, Pip’s is designed to interact with Earl’s Court locals and hotel guests. With 32 covers, Pip’s offers a selection of fresh pastries, bread and coffee from the counter, for a quick grab-to-go experience. For guests looking for more casual dining, the café will serve a breakfast menu featuring brunch classics, lunch and dinner.
Additional hotel spaces include a comfortable area that welcomes you as you enter the property, designed for guests to relax with a drink during check-in, get lost in a good book, focus on work, or simply sit back and enjoy some people-watching. The Library offers a curated collection of works by iconic authors showcasing Britain’s literary heritage and reflecting on Earl’s Court’s rich creative past. There is also the Refresh Room – a Miiro brand signature – available both before check-in and after check-out. This clever space features a shower, toiletries and changing space, in addition to space to securely store luggage before your room is ready. Lastly, the hotel boasts a state-of-the-art Gym, open 24 hours and accessible to hotel guests, complete with high-end equipment, cardiovascular machines, free weights and a dedicated stretching area.
