YO! Sushi has secured a prime location in the brand-new Trinity Shopping Centre in Leeds for its first restaurant opening of the year. The restaurant, which officially opens on the 21st of this month, is located in Trinity Walk on the second floor. The venue will include 57 covers – 30 booth seating and 27 stools, all arranged around YO! Sushi’s trademark kaiten conveyor belt, which spans across an area of 2086ft².
The restaurant’s designer, Philip Watts, has created a vibrant interior featuring a fusion of textures, colours and imagery. Large, gently-curved stone columns stand at the front of the restaurant, delivering an impressive yet welcoming entrance, while the ceiling slopes back to the kitchen with an exposed section bridged by luminescent, neon-coloured beams.
The walls feature a combination of sake labels and wooden oak trees housing illuminated pink pigeons, creating a fun, individual space while also maintaining YO! Sushi’s modern Japanese aesthetic.
Robin Rowland, CEO at YO! Sushi, comments: “YO! Sushi is an elegant pit-stop for shoppers, which will fit in perfectly within the hotly-anticipated Trinity Leeds shopping centre. Sushi and shopping is a winning combination, and with YO! Sushi being a vibrant, cool and fun eating destination, this new addition to our portfolio further enhances our business strategy of securing our unique concept in key shopping centre destinations.
“We are delighted to be opening our second restaurant in the city, and looking forward to serving our delicious and healthy Japanese-inspired dishes to savvy shoppers and local residents alike in Leeds. Regular sushi lovers, as well as those who may not have sampled the extensive YO! Sushi menu yet, can enjoy our restaurant’s fast-paced, sleek service and fun environment from opening day.”
