International hotel chain, Best Western, recently participated in Earth Day festivities in Washington D.C. as part of its on-going partnership with the Earth Day Network.
In celebration of Earth Month, held annually in April, Best Western representatives shared eco-friendly travel tips to attendees, and promoted Earth Day through its social share photo booth. Earth Day revellers were invited to have their picture taken at the event and distribute the image socially to raise awareness.
Kathryn Stoddard, vice president of Corporate Partnerships at Earth Day Network, comments: “The theme of Earth Day 2013 was The Face of Climate Change – and we know that for years Best Western hotels have been implementing climate-conscious policies and eco-friendly practices. Because of their enormous size and worldwide influence, it’s an extremely important step. We’re proud to have Best Western as our partner.”
