Meliá Hotels & Resorts has opened its first resort in the Andalusian province of Huelva in Spain. Meliá Atlantico – Isla Canela is a large holiday resort located on the beachfront in Isla Canela, a popular tourist destination and residential areas in Andalusia. The new opening strengthens its brand portfolio in Spain.
Built in 2000 and renovated this year, the hotel has been constructed in a traditional Andalusian architectural style, which is combined with elegant and welcoming interiors. The property is set in 10,000m² of gardens.
The hotel provides 358 spacious rooms with a private balcony or terrace – most with views of the sea or the mouth of the Carreras river. Guest room options include superior rooms with a lounge; family rooms for people travelling with children; and five elegant and bright suites.
