German bathroom manufacturer, Bette, has launched BetteArt – a strikingly-shaped freestanding bath with a highly innovative design concept.
The brief for the BetteArt was to create a slender, narrow-rimmed bath, featuring a fluid movement between the tub’s exterior and interior and leaving only the minimum gap required for the technology.
The BetteArt bath looks as if it is made from a single piece of enamelled steel. The very narrow rim, intrinstic to its sculptural character, presented new challenges for the company. Bette collaborated with specialists in plumbing and heating systems, Viega, to create a slender integrated pop-up waste that would fit in the small space of the bath rim. This was developed specifically for the BetteArt, and is concealed by a brass trim that is available in a choice of chrome or white.
The BetteArt bath is offered in bright white, and measures 180 x 75 x 42cm. Three matching washbasins in enamelled steel are also available in 30 x 40 x 9cm, 60 x 40 x 11cm and 80 x 40 x 11cm dimensions.
Ideally suited to a bathroom environment, Bette’s enamelled steel products offer sustainability, stability and reliability, combined with a flawless, durable and hygienic surface. Moreover, Bette products feature a smooth, easy-to-clean Betteglaze enamel surface which carries a 30 year warranty. With light-reflecting qualities, high resistance to scratches, heat and colour loss, this surface will ensure the BetteArt retains its glossy aesthetic for a great many years to come.
