The Vincent Hotel Group (TVHG) has signed a purchase agreement with the local authorities in Amsterdam for the construction of a new 314-room Novotel. Colliers International represented TVHG on the acquisition of the land, and was also responsible for advising on the financing of the development by this deal of approximately ¬50m.
Bart van der Kamp, CEO at TVHG, says: “This is the first time we have developed a brand-new hotel. Previously, we have converted nine hotels in the Netherlands in the past three years, all in the limited service category operated under the Holiday Inn Express and Hampton by Hilton brands. We have another nine hotels planned over the next three years.
“I very much believe that together with Accor Hotels we will make this hotel a great success.”
The new hotel will be located directly opposite the Hoofddorp railway station, four minutes from the Schiphol Airport terminals. The hotel will feature a fitness room, meeting rooms, a bar and a restaurant. Construction will start in October, and will take approximately 14 months.
The property has been designed by Mulderblauw Architects with a focus on sustainability.
