Three employees at Yorkshire-based Knightsbridge Furniture have been presented with long-service awards to mark 25 years with the company. Chairman Margaret Miller made the presentations during a ceremony at the manufacturer’s headquarters on Thornton Road, Bradford.
The awards went to sewing machinist Tamara Winters, who was presented with a clock for her new home; wood machinist Mark Doherty, who joined Knightsbridge Furniture as a school leaver in 1988; and Steve Coyle, who leads the team responsible for the company’s timber stores.
“We’re always delighted to mark long-service milestones and thank Tamara, Mark and Steve for their dedication over the last 25 years,” says Margaret Miller. “We’ve been established for over 75 years and a high percentage of employees have been with us for 40 years or more, which is a rarity these days. There have even been a number of marriages between staff over the years, and it’s not unknown for the second or even third generation to want to join us too.”
