The three finalists for Hotelympia‘s 2014 Design Award have been announced. The three hotels now competing for the award are:
- The London Edition – designed by Yabu Pushelberg and Ian Schrager
- ME London – designed by Foster+Partners
- Great Northern Hotel, London – designed by Archer Humphryes Architects
The judging process is being overseen by a panel of industry experts, including: Jan Wilson, managing director at last year’s winner, RPW Design; Steve LaBouchardiere, co-founder of designLSM; Una Barac, director at Scott Brownrigg; Dennis Irvine, director at Fox Linton Associates; and Stirling Johnstone, editor at GS Magazine.
Hotels which did not quite make the final list yet are considered worthy of note by Hotelympia include: The Crowne Plaza in Glasgow; The Sands Hotel in Margate; Dormy House in the Cotswolds; and Qbic London City.
The three finalists will be featured on a dedicated display wall situated in Hotelympia’s Design Gallery throughout the four-day show. The overall winner will be crowned on Monday 28th April in a presentation and champagne reception.
