Julie Powell has joined Smart Hospitality and Hawthorn at EventCity, moving from her previous role at Manchester Central Convention Complex
Smart Hospitality and Hawthorn have announced that Julie Powell will be joining their team as sales director for Smart Hospitality Manchester, and will be responsible for driving sales and raising the profile for Hall 4 at EventCity, its dedicated conferencing and banqueting space.
Julie spent three years at Manchester Central Convention Complex as sales and business development manager, with account management responsibility for the special events in the venue. She managed the sales teams there to exceed sales targets by nurturing relationships with the world’s leading conferences, exhibitions and event organisers. Before that, she was head of sales at the Co-operative Group Travel Division, heading up the sales function within a multi-faceted travel organisation.
