A ground-breaking collaboration between Club Wembley and Wallpaper* magazine has seen the stereotypical perception of corporate hospitality transformed with the leading design publication giving the Directors’ Box at the world famous stadium a modern style transformation.
Overseen by Wallpaper* Editor-in-Chief, Tony Chambers, the magazine’s talented interiors team has spent the last six months working with Club Wembley to create a contemporary twist on event hospitality. Crossing the boundaries between a hospitality area, a lounge and a work hub, Wallpaper* has subsequently created a thoroughly modern re-interpretation of the conventional, generic event hospitality facility.
As the world’s most iconic stadium, famed for hosting leading football, sporting and music events, Wembley Stadium has long been regarded as one of the most famous venues in the world. When the new Wembley Stadium opened in 2007, as well as being one of the most technologically advanced stadia, it also provided an unrivalled hospitality offering. Club Wembley has a total of 160 private boxes and more than 14,000 hospitality seats in total.
The partnership with Wallpaper* has seen the two organisations create a truly unique offering to dispel the common image of corporate entertaining being stale and dated. Using a palette of contemporary colours and finishes, unusual accessories, artworks and eclectic furniture sourced from the most interesting designers worldwide, every element of the interior stylishly reflects the modern day requirement.

“The partnership between Club Wembley and Wallpaper* magazine is an excellent example of how far the hospitality market has come in recent years,” says Heath Harvey, Club Wembley Director. “Hospitality is a premium experience and as such, our clients demand the type of premium product they find elsewhere in their lives.”
“Gone are the days of the stadium hospitality experience taking place in a room that resembles a bland boardroom. Our clients come from a range of industry sectors, from financial to creative, and they crave a contemporary setting and experience to match the world class entertainment on the pitch.”
Tony Chambers, Wallpaper* Editor-in-Chief, says: “We are delighted to be working with Club Wembley on this exciting project. Having previously completed residential, retail and office projects, this is a hospitality first for Wallpaper* Composed, our bespoke interior design service. The end result provides a new vision of how we believe the future of hospitality spaces should both look and function.”
