Astro has extended its Joel family of retro table lamps, wall lights, floor lamps and pendants with Joel Grande, offering new dimensions and features in this cohesive collection.
Joel is a contemporary reincarnation of an Astro original, which was based on a classic mid-20th century lighting design. Joel Grande comes in wall lamp and table lamp options which are more than just bigger versions of their stablemates: The Joel Grande Wall and Joel Grande Table both have distinctive design features and extra levels of adjustability.
“The inspiration for Joel came from a light I designed for Astro when the company launched more than 17 years ago,” says design director and co-founder James Bassant. “At the time it was unashamedly retro, but this new collection, now extended with the Grande versions, has subtle twists in form and finish which bring it right up to date, while retaining unmistakable references to the post-war classics which inspired it.
The Joel range is LED-compatible, and the integral shade comes in polished chrome, black and cream.
