Shaw Contract Group‘s new London showroom, Hub 33, will open its doors with a celebration on 16 April. Located at 33 Great Sutton Street, in the heart of Clerkenwell, London’s renowned district for the design community, the space occupies 300 square metresm of premium property, and is designed to inspire and inform the design professionals utilising the space.
The commercial flooring giant relied upon the expertise of interior design firm, Modus, to create a customer experience consistent with the brand. The showroom serves as a merchandising backdrop for Shaw’s Cradle to Cradle certified commercial flooring products, including carpet tile, resilient, hard surface, hospitality and custom carpet. The space will be used to host product knowledge presentations, seminars, CPDs, sales meetings and other events for professionals and industry partners.
“By opening up the space and expressing the integrity of the structure of the building, we provide an elegant, inviting showcase for Shaw Contract Group’s portfolio of beautiful products,” says Sarah Trickett, Modus designer.
“We used the open, street level windows to demonstrate the full extent of design leadership position through AV images displaying project photography and new product collections whilst maintaining a clear view of the entire showroom.”
The design is inspired by the industrial aesthetic within the space, so the design team wanted to create a compelling backdrop that is fluid and open to engage and inspire all who will experience the showroom.
John Stephens, VP of Marketing says: “This space will become a hub for the London design community. It will be a place for clients to maximise their time in a centralised location and to experience all the flooring solutions from the global brand in large scale. Hub 33 will breathe life into design visions and will be a place to learn, connect and inspire.”
London joins Atlanta, Shanghai, Beijing, New York and other global design hubs where Shaw Contract Group’s presence is a catalyst for design excellence. Major Shaw Contract Group clients are located in the London area. From fortune 500 companies to local universities and hospitals, the business and organisations that impact the local economy will have access to this creative space – giving them the opportunity to work with architects and designers in London to continue developing commercial interiors which will attract employees, students, visitors and customers.
