The Fish – a new affordable boutique hotel in the Cotswolds – has now opened its doors. Located on the same privately-owned 400-acre estate as one of the area’s most celebrated luxury hotels, Dormy House, as well as the eight-bedroom private house hotel, Foxhill Manor, The Fish is part of an extensive redevelopment and brand new type of accommodation for the Farncombe Estate.
“The opening of The Fish is another significant milestone for Farncombe as it brings together both a new type of accommodation and the wide range of activities we offer on the estate,” says Andrew Grahame, CEO Farncombe Estate. “This very exciting addition will not only enable us to reach more leisure and corporate guests, but also serves to demonstrate that price doesn’t have to mean compromising on style and service.”
Working alongside interior designer, Hannah Lohan, the team has created a contemporary rustic aesthetic for The Fish, with a touch of Scandi in homage to the estate’s owners. The 43 standard and superior rooms and the four junior suites, are spread throughout three refurbished buildings; The Farmhouse, The Outhouse and The Stables.
Across the courtyard is The Lodge, a relaxed yet welcoming restaurant and spacious bar area with comfy seating and an outdoor terrace.
