British luxury bed maker, Vispring, has announced the appointment of a new MD, Steve Henning, who will take up his post from 11th January 2016. Henning replaces Mike Meehan who steps down after twenty years. Mike has steadily grown the business, improved results and established Vispring internationally.
Henning joins Vispring from British technology pioneer, Dyson, where he was the company’s Global Account Director. Previous to that, Henning was President for Asia at the Franke Group, which for more than 100 years has specialised in high-end and luxury kitchen systems.
Henning brings to his new role experience of the luxury interiors industry and an acute international perspective as a result of living and working in continental Europe, Asia and North America. Henning’s experience will be of vital importance to Vispring, which having doubled its overseas sales in the last ten years, continues to implement a strategic international growth programme for the next five to ten years.
Recognised the world over for producing beds of exceptional quality, Vispring has never waived on its commitment to using the finest natural fibres and expert craftsmanship during its 113-year history.
“I am delighted to take the helm at Vispring, the quality of its offering and the expertise of its skilled craftsmen ensure that the product speaks for itself,” Steve comments. “Our goal is to not only build the Vispring brand in new markets and forge new retail partnerships, but more fundamentally, to establish the luxury bed segment to ensure the Vispring brand is synonymous with luxury sleep across all markets.”
