Bristol-based design firm, Studio B, has just completed the design and build of its second London restaurant project for Dorset-born chain, The Stable.
Situated in the leafy, upmarket area of Kew this is the 15th venue for the cider and pizza restaurant chain, and provides a fitting space for Londoners to have a quick bite to eat while experiencing a taste of the South West.
A key consideration for Studio B was to ensure that the space was in keeping with the building’s architecture, and its clean and contemporary surroundings.
The completion of the Kew branch comes soon after Studio B’s first London project, the Stable in Whitechapel, were they created a big, bold interior. Focusing on the chain’s West Country roots and offering of real cider, Studio B designed two ample bars and added in a mix of neons, mesh, tiles, bricks and wall art to bring the venue to life.
“During the last four years of working with The Stable, we’ve helped the brand to develop naturally while staying true to its West Country roots,” explains Kyle Clarke, creative director of Studio B.
“The second site in London affirms this. The freedom we’ve created has its obstacles, but at the same time it ensures we’re creating unique restaurants that have a sense of belonging wherever they open; we embrace the challenges each new location brings.”
Sidonie Warren, MD, adds: “We look forward to working outside of Bristol and the South West much more as we continue to grow Studio B. Our ambition knows no bounds and whether with The Stable or another of our clients, we’re excited about where we’ll be taken next.”
