Room Mate Hotels, founded and chaired by Kike Sarasola, has announced the launch of a new leisure concept: Room Mate Hotels Playa.
The launch of this brand extension is in direct response to customer demand and industry trends, expanding the company’s extensive city centre offering to beachside properties.
The chain is currently assessing projects in a variety of Spanish destinations that include Ibiza, Majorca, the Canary Islands, Costa del Sol plus international destinations such as Mexico. Room Mate Hotels plans to open its first Room Mate Playa in summer 2017.
Room Mate Hotels is expected to end the year with an occupancy rate above 87% and more than ¬70 million in turnover. The average price rose from ¬128.78 to ¬133.42 in 2016.
