Los Angeles-based lifestyle hospitality company, sbe, has opened SLS Brickell – its second SLS Miami hotel.
The formidable team behind the hotel consists of sbe Founder and CEO, Sam Nazarian, The Related Group founder and chairman, Jorge Perez, Arquitectonica co-founding principle, Bernardo Fort”Brescia and creator Philippe Starck.
The prominent Arquitectonica-designed, 55-storey tower takes its cue from the lively movement of Brickell, with a faceted bas-relief pattern aiming to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Philippe Starck’s legendary vision is realised in the property’s luxurious lounge and dining areas, 124-striking SLS hotel rooms and suites, and 450 SLS-branded condo residences.
“SLS Brickell is different from other SLS properties because Miami is the new, world centre of art,” says Philippe Starck. “And in this SLS, we don’t speak about interior design but about art, which is better because art is more timeless and universal than interior design,” explains Philippe.
The property features premier culinary options from two James Bear award-winning chefs: SLS Culinary Director, Chef José Andrés and Chef Michael Schwartz. Chef José Andrés will present Bazaar Mar – his latest culinary concept celebrating the bounty of the oceans – and Chef Michael Schwartz will introduce his first Italian concept, Fi’lia.
In addition to its dynamic dining options, SLS Brickell hosts an unprecedented range of 24-hour lifestyle amenities, including concierge services, valet parking, in-room dining, babysitting services and a BMW-7 series house car available for transport within a three-mile radius.
