Utilising the existing space, including the grand rooms of the original house, the revamped hotel and spa now includes two luxury suites with incredible views overlooking the River Clyde; beautifully-designed, well-equipped and modern junior suites and bedrooms; spacious event rooms with all the necessary mod-cons; and the newly-built Imperia Spa.
“Gleddoch has been an old favourite for decades, attracting thousands of guests over the years and is close to many people’s hearts,” says Richard Johal, director at Gleddoch.
“With its setting in 360 acres of countryside and its amazing views over the Clyde and the Renfrewshire hills, Gleddoch feels like a country retreat, yet it’s only 20 minutes’ drive from Glasgow.
“We saw a great opportunity to breathe new life into the hotel and golf course. Former guests will recognise the hotel they loved, but it’s been brought up to scratch and now has all of the amenities expected of a top four-star establishment. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone as Gleddoch begins this new phase of life.”
The newly-created Gleddoch will continue to be an attractive luxury option with its range of high-quality facilities, including the jewel in its crown: the Imperia Spa.
The spa provides a range of luxury treatments for face, body, hands and feet, as well as massage and waxing, using products by Elemis and the Scottish brand ishga, from the Isle of Lewis.
The spa’s facilities include a 17m, heated indoor swimming pool, eight tranquil treatment rooms, a sauna and steam room, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a fully equipped gym, and a relaxation room.
The renowned Championship standard golf course has also had its own facelift, with course improvements, a new golf reception with pro shop and dedicated ‘The Nineteenth’ bar.
