The nine month project saw the hotel’s public areas and largest meeting room given a makeover – with a new stylish restaurant and state of the art spa incorporated into the property for guests to the City and locals alike.
Work was carried out in phases at the hotel on Seething Lane – just minutes from Tower Hill Underground and Fenchurch Street Station – to ensure guests booked to stay still enjoyed the best possible experience while visiting the capital.
Apex City of London Hotel’s main lobby and reception have been fully refurbished to create a luxurious and stylish environment for guests entering the hotel, while the hotel’s main meeting room has also been upgraded – providing first-class facilities for delegates which Apex Hotels is renowned for.
The new restaurant, The Lampery, provides a fresh all-day dining destination with honest cooking in the heart of historic London – with the concept spearheaded by hospitality and events company, Concerto, in partnership with Apex Hotels.
Featuring the ‘terrace’ area, with its stunning suspended foliage canopy, The Lampery also boasts a buzzing bar area, perfect for after work and weekend cocktails.
“We’re thrilled to welcome guests to our new look hotel,” comments Brian Tapson, GM of Apex City of London Hotel. “Following the addition of 30 bedrooms just two years ago, the refurbishment has transformed the hotel, with the inclusion of an indulgent spa and food offering that will appeal to locals as well as hotel guests.”
As part of its £1.5million refurbishment, Apex City of London Hotel has also partnered with PURE Spa & Beauty to bring an oasis of calm to the capital.
As well as five luxurious treatment rooms and a whole host of pampering treats, the spa includes an infra-red sauna, manicure and pedicure bars, a spray tan booth, relaxation area and luxury retail area for the ultimate in relaxation.
