Examples of Moroccan artisanship can be found throughout the country but within the UK and on British shores few, if any, examples exist.
One, however, has a growing worldwide reputation in the field of Moroccan decorative lighting and furniture – Moroccan Bazaar.
Far beyond ‘Souk’ inspired products from the marketplaces of Morocco that have found their way in the hearts of tourist British tourists, Moroccan Bazaar’s pieces excel the field as its pieces are found in the projects of major design firms in charge of hotels around the globe.
For example, one of the planet’s hottest new hotels; the Mondrian Doha, Qatar, extensively used the brand’s lights to dramatic effect.
Moroccan Bazaar’s brass lights are entirely handmade employing generations of experience, they produce artistic decorative pieces specified amongst the hotels and residences under design by the likes of Marcel Wanders & Wimberley Interiors.
The JAFFA light, pictured above, is one of the items poolside in the Mondrian project. The Mondrian, akin to a wanderlust sight from Alice in Wonderland is a project spearheaded by world renowned design firm Marcel Wanders.
