Buck brings significant experience working on complex projects from concept through to completion. His diverse portfolio of work includes the Which? Headquarters for the Which? Consumers’ Association, Sixty London at 60 Holborn Viaduct for AXA Real Estate, and Aykon London One for Damac Properties (currently onsite).
The appointment follows a period of significant activity and growth for Perkins+Will‘s London studio, with an increasing number of architecture projects currently underway. These include the recently approved 150 Holborn, a 185,000 square foot new build HQ in Camden, and two new build commercial office buildings for developer Brookgate in the rapidly emerging CB1 and CB4 districts in Cambridge.
Earlier this year, the firm announced its merger with Danish design firm, Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects, to strengthen its cultural practice and expand the firm’s architectural practice in the U.K. and mainland Europe.
“Brandon’s appointment reinforces Perkins+Will’s ongoing commitment to growing its architecture presence in London,” says Steven Charlton, managing director of Perkins+Will’s London studio.
“His portfolio of work is a natural fit for the studio and strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality design to clients. We’re feeling ambitious about the future and look forward to building on our recent success and growth with Brandon’s support.”
Buck adds: “Perkins+Will’s ambition is reflected in its diverse portfolio of work, expansion into new services, and a strong interdisciplinary approach. It’s clearly an exciting time to join a team united by enthusiasm for the future. I can’t wait to get started.”
Brandon holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Design, earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Columbia University and achieved his RIBA Part 3 from London South Bank University School of the Built Environment and Architecture.
