In keeping with the brand’s bold shift away from the traditional safari style, Singita Sasakwa Lodge has reopened with refreshed interiors.
This remarkable property, built in the style of a stately Edwardian Manor House, is located in the 350,000-acre Singita Grumeti Reserve.
Its authentic East African experience has been given a lift with the addition of wraparound verandas and courtyards, offering guests a front row seat to some of the country’s most coveted game sightings in the Serengeti ahead. Coveted antiques, local tribal artefacts and soft furnishings pay homage to its history, creating a casual but old-world luxury feel.
The property’s new look also features Singita’s signature interactive kitchen, allowing guests to take in the action of as the dedicated culinary team effortlessly pull together refined, contemporary interpretations of classic dishes.
Singita Sasakwa Lodge is made up of nine cottage and one villa each with private infinity pools expansive en-suite bathrooms, dressing areas, fireplaces, living rooms and French doors opening onto welcoming verandas, the elegant cottages feature polished parquet floors, vintage collectables and comfortable furnishings. Guests can spend their day playing tennis in the private courts, take guided bushwalks accompanied by some of Singita’s award-winning guides or pamper themselves with spa treatments in the new and improved wellness rooms.
