The Connaught Bar has held onto its hard-earned crown for another year as ‘the best bar in the world’ – awarded by the prestigious World’s 50 Best Bars Awards.
The Connaught Bar at The Connaught, in London’s Mayfair, renowned for exceptional craftsmanship, landmark cocktails and daring new mixes – has had a place on the Best Bar’s list since 2010, rising from second place on the 2019 list.
This year is the second time that it has been named the official winner – a feat that previously only two bars have achieved in the awards’ 13-year history.
“Last night was an emotional evening, as we celebrated this exceptional award with our industry friends,” comments Agostino Perrone, Director of Mixology, who accepted the bar’s award with his team.
“After another challenging year in hospitality, the industry’s resilience and unity through these times has been extraordinary. Our commitment to this industry and to our beloved guests has been our fundamental driver for the past 13 years. We will continue to work hard and keep up – as individuals, professionals, but foremost, as a team and a bar community to inspire the next generation.”
The Connaught Bar opened at the hotel in 2008, designed by David Collins Studio and has continued to maintain its position at the forefront of the London cocktail scene, offering a mix of traditional cocktails with innovative twists, and has spearheaded the art of table side theatre with its signature Martini trolley.
