A leading specialist in the design and production of luxury fabrics for interior decoration, Berkshire-based Northcroft Fabrics has held a prominent position in the industry since its establishment in 1991.
According to director John Kitching, luxury fabrics are in trend this season to keep interiors stylish. More and more, interiors are being decorated using classic fabrics such as damasks, silks and velvets – which Northcroft Fabrics specialises in due to their ability to add a touch of elegance to an interior, along with their hard wearing and fire retardant properties. According to Mr Kitching, the attraction to velvet comes largely from its ability to add an instant dash of opulence to most interiors, while also standing of time.
Northcroft Fabrics offers a wide selection of damasks from different time periods, woven in various fibres and covering a range of interior styles and budgets. Silk damasks range from 15th century Italian designs through to Chinoiserie styles and 19th century arts and crafts designs – making them extremely versatile.
Lincoln (pictured) is an elegant floral jacquard weave combining an enviably soft texture with impressive scale, so it comes as no real surprise that the fabric is a popular choice for both upholstery and curtains.
