British flooring manufacturer Amtico has revolutionised its popular Spacia Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) collection with a fresh look and new designs.
Four years in the making and following more than 100 hours of customer research, Amtico Spacia boasts over 90 products – 46 Woods and 48 Stones – meticulously designed to help architects, designers and specifiers meet client briefs, and create a sense of calm through the wellbeing benefits of biophilia.
Following the trend for warmer, natural finishes in commercial interiors, Woods have been arranged into six versatile and usable palettes – including cool, warm and the new golden tones – to provide a variety of texture and colour. Also added for 2022, Heritage Oaks offer a reclaimed timber aesthetic with softly worn grains and sawn mark detailing, as well as a unique emboss that follows the grain for a realistic look. Elsewhere, Salvaged Timber is a bold yet versatile rustic wood design with a painterly finish. The contrasting grains and tonal variations provide a contemporary twist on reclaimed oak floors.
Spacia’s Stones have also undergone a refresh, with 48 products now available across seven palettes, including brand new trend-driven designs – Marble, Terrazzo and Tones. Marble is a new and modern take on the traditionally bold material, offering organic shades with delicate detailing in four colours, including the sumptuous blush hues of Rose Marble.
Terrazzo and Elemental Terrazzo are two bold introductions for Amtico; featuring colourful marble chips, they provide specifiers with a lightweight and easy-to-install LVT alternative to concrete or resin-based tiles. The dramatic designs deliver impact across a breadth of spaces from small decorative areas to flooding a room.
Finally, Tones offers a subtle introduction of colour in a contemporary ceramic style. Comprising nine understated shades with a chalky feel, they are inspired by nature and work beautifully with all ranges in the Spacia collection.
At the core of the new Spacia collection, which is designed and manufactured at Amtico’s Coventry factory, is a ‘Beautifully simple’ specification. Commenting on the new launch, Lorna Williams, Amtico Head of Product Design and Visual Creation, said: “It has been four years since we launched Spacia – and a lot has happened since then. Environments and the way people use spaces have completely changed, while interior design and colour have also moved on. When developing Spacia, we wanted to take a completely balanced and holistic approach, so we created a LVT collection centred on calming interiors. These can now be realised through our new versatile palettes, natural colour injections and realistic Woods and Stones.
“The new 2022 collection has been designed to inspire and create a sense of calm, with our design team also addressing the need for subtle yet contemporary colours and patterns in commercial interiors. The results are new products, textures and patterns that not only look impressive when specified on their own to flood an area, but also work together beautifully, either to zone open-plan spaces or within different rooms of a project.”
As part of the enhanced collection, Spacia now also boasts antimicrobial protection against MRSA and E.coli. Spacia also has a 0.55mm high density wear layer and can also be specified in over 90 designs with Acoustic backing or 36+ anti-slip resistance. The LVT collection carries a 10-year commercial warranty and accreditations, including M1 building emissions classification.
