David Savage‘s Hedge I table is a product of skilled hands reflecting upon the English landscape that surrounds them.
The piece looks at the way humankind regulates nature and the natural landscape by trimming the unmanaged chaos straight and clean. The piece combines tangled natural forms with the hard flatness of the glass surface.
Measuring 1400 x 700 x 490cm, the table has been crafted by a team of furniture makers, led by David, at Rowden Workshops, located near Shebbear in rural North Devon.
