Egger has added another 125 laminates to its UK range – with new designs and textures offering an alternative to materials such as linen, metal, leather and concrete.
As well as being a market leader in the supply of wood-based panels to the construction and furniture sectors, Egger is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of laminate – with an annual production capacity of 27 million m².
Recent major investments mean that the company can now offer 237 laminate decor options on a just-in-time basis, via a national network of distributors – with back-up stocks held by Egger itself.
Approximately half of the company decors can be paired with matching MFC boards and edging, which is available in a newly-expanded range of sizes. Offering customers a single-source supply results in one order, one invoice and one delivery – with fewer delays or specification changes.
Jayne Dixon, Egger’s specification marketing co-ordinator, believes that the enhanced range of decors – together with lifelike new prints and textures – will help the company to win greater market share in the UK’s interiors, shopfitting and architectural specification sectors.
“The rise in popularity of laminate shows no sign of slowing down,” she says, “and it has become a highly lucrative business, with more and more players trying to offer the best collection and steal a march on the competition.
“Although we are well known across Europe for our decorative wood panels and edging, in the UK our product offering in laminates is sometimes overlooked by specifiers. This autumn we are looking to address that with a major marketing campaign and a big investment in our distribution partners, as well as doubling the size of our range.
“These laminates join our carefully co-ordinated Zoom collection in offering a mix of exotic woodgrains, metal effects, rough-cut woods and both vibrant and subtle uni colours. With texture no longer having to be a secondary consideration after colour choice, they have more depth and realism than ever before.
“Laminates combine extreme resistance with stunning visual impact and high surface quality. Thanks to our state-of-the-art print and production processes, we are confident of their ability to replace the real thing in more and more applications beyond simply furniture design and classic furniture construction.”
Any of the 237 laminate decors can be obtained from Egger’s UK and Eire distributors – for samples and further information, readers should contact the Zoom hotline team or visit the Where To Buy section on the company’s website.
