Enjoying views over the Adriatic Sea and located nearby the medieval town of Rovinj, the five-star Hotel Lone in Croatia offers 236 rooms, 12 suites, three restaurants and large conference facilities with four conference rooms, meeting rooms and a VIP lounge.
The architect working on the prestigious project, 3LHD, was intent on specifying luxurious, high-quality fixtures and fittings throughout the five-star complex. As such, it turned to Geberit to source the most suitable piping and sanitary systems.
Geberit piping systems feature throughout the six-storey design hotel. Geberit Mepla and Geberit HDPE piping provide an ideal solution in terms of sustainability, durability and ease of installation, and Geberit Silent-db20 piping was specified to solve acoustic issues. Geberit also provided its innovative siphon-action Pluvia roof-drainage system, which provides a reliable service over large areas.
Innovations are also featured in the washrooms in the communal areas of the hotel and in the guest bathrooms. The high-end, luxurious finish of the wall-hung sanitaryware features heavily in the bathroom designs, and Geberit’s Duofix framing system made installation a simple task.
The company’s concealed cisterns, hidden discreetly behind the wall for a minimal finish, also offer water-saving benefits. In the public areas, where hygiene is paramount, Geberit’s electronic urinal flush controls and taps are fitted as standard.
“It was important to the developers that reliable, high-quality products be used in the design hotel,” Andy Lever, commercial sales director at Geberit, comments. “That is why a wide range of Geberit products was used to satisfy the demand for high quality.”
