With the flexibility offered by the bespoke Wall of Fame portfolio, Lano Flooring Solutions has been able to provide Bluewater Shopping Centre with two highly accurate replacement carpets in an unusual circular chlidema design.
One of the main cafe bars enjoys a location in one of the busier walkways in the centre, with flooring comprised of a combination of hard ceramic tiles and soft circular carpet. Due to the centre’s heavy footfall, the existing carpet required replacement – something that proved a little more challenging given that the design of the cafe bar had been specifically created to match the strong star and constellation theme of the stylish hall in which it is located.
Having worked with Lano Solutions previously, local flooring contractor, John Wareing was confident that the company could deliver an accurate solution to this fairly specialised problem, and recommended Lano on this basis.
Supplied with images and measurements of the original carpet, Lano Flooring Solutions created a replica design, mocked up using the latest graphic software and pinpoint colour referencing to create an identical copy.
The bespoke 10-row axminster carpets, including the chlidema border, were then woven into a densely-piled, premium quality blend of 80% wool and 20% nylon. The final result was a striking, hardwearing carpet, able to provide neat appearance retention, and to withstand the high traffic area of the Bluewater cafe bar.
