For over a century, Margraf has aided internationally-renowned architects in the creation of outstanding works both in Italy and abroad. Indeed, since 1906 Industria Marmi Vicentini has supplied material for such important projects as the Banca d’Italia in Milan, the Governor’s Building in Cairo, the Coca Cola Building in Atlanta, the IBM Tower in Georgia, the Winter Garden of the World Financial Center in New York, the Main Tower of the Canary Wharf in London and the new Four Seasons Hotel of Baku.
Today, there is an ever-increasing number of hotels and public spaces that make use of Margraf’s natural stone and marble. The most recent creation is the Double Tree by Hilton in Zagreb. Laid out over 10 floors, with 152 rooms, six apartments, a restaurant, lounge bar, business centre and spa, the hotel is the first to be opened in Croatia by the American chain.
Margraf’s natural stone played an integral role in creating an elegant and refined atmosphere throughout the hotel. Grigio Tao marble was used throught the communal areas, from the elevators to the lobby where, in addition to the floorcovering, it was used as the covering of a modern and comfortable fireplace.
Meanwhile Botticino Semiclassico marble in a polished finish was used for the wallcoverings of the public paths, and Nero Marquinia marble was used in the guest room baths and in the finishing of the doors.
