In response to industry demand, Design at Knightsbridge has extended its Lucia collection to include new seating and tables for hospitality and corporate environments. Applications for the newcomers range from guest bedrooms and visitor lounges to reception areas, meeting rooms and breakout spaces.
Distinguished by simple, clean lines and subtle retro references, Lucia furniture enhances classical and contemporary interiors alike. In addition to the original upright chairs, the collection includes compact club chairs, armchairs and twin- and triple-seat sofas, all with under frames in either natural timber or gracefully curving wire.
For hotel bedrooms and executive settings, Lucia also features a series of desk chairs with rigid and swivel options, which are available with a fixed-wire under frame, four-star base or a traditional cruciform base with castors and height adjuster. Completing the line-up are elegant lamp and coffee tables with lustrous timber tops on wire bases.
Design consultant, James A Wright – who has created the collection exclusively for Design at Knightsbridge – comments: “The inherent versatility of the Lucia concept has enabled us to extend the range of product options without compromising its timeless quality.”
Lucia upholstery is offered in fabric or hide which can be either customer-specific or drawn from the extensive Design at Knightsbridge library. Show wood comes in six standard finishes – cherry, mahogany, natural beech, wenge, walnut or oak – or to order as required.
All Lucia seating and tables are manufactured at the Design at Knightsbridge factory in Bradford, using timber from renewable sources and wire under-frames produced in the UK. The company also demonstrates its commitment to sustainability through FSC, PEFC and FISP certification, ISO 14001:2004 accreditation for its environmental management system and BS EN ISO 9001:2008 quality management accreditation.
