Pollack has taken the link beween art and design to a new level with its latest Makers Collection. The textile specialist has collaborated with five artists – a glass blower, a ceramicist, a fashion designer, a jeweller and a furniture designer – to create 13 new fabrics, each of which brings inspiration from the artists’ own mediums.
The Pollack studio met with each maker to gain a true understanding of his or her craft, and to exchange design philosophies, ideas and approaches. The goal was to interpret and express the artists’ unique perspective on creating, and then translate that into Pollack’s own woven-fabric medium.
