Saint-Gobain Glass has launched SGG Miralite Revolution, a mirror that has been developed using innovative technologies that lower the environmental impact during manufacture, while keeping the product’s durability and clarity.
SGG Miralite Revolution offers an improved quality compared to traditional mirrors, while significantly increasing durability through the improved anti-corrosion techniques used in its manufacture – making it the best performing and most robust mirror that Saint-Gobain Glass has produced to date.
The low ecological footprint achieved in the production of SGG Miralite Revolution is significant – 30% of the glass content is derived from recycled glass, and a reduction of CO2 has been achieved through the re-treatment and re-use of water, recycling of metal residues and cullet recycling. No toxic substances are used in the production of the mirror, and low VOC emissions maintain inside air quality – making SGG Miralite Revolution unharmful to health.
These environmental benefits may be used in commercial buildings to help achieve higher BREEAM standards, supported fully by an Environmental Product Declaration and Life Cycle Assessment.
