Following over a decade of producing architectural cast stone for both the UK and export market, Classical Stone has turned its attention to surface design and cladding solutions.
By utilising its extensive knowledge, skills and resources, Classical Stone has introduced a range of products made from a high-grade, acrylic-modified, fibre-re-enforced cement system that – as well as being decorative and versatile – has a high durability suitable for both internal and external applications.
A wide range of finishes are available, including polished metals, rusted iron, concrete, marble and a variety of stone colours. All finishes can be produced in an almost endless array of surface textures and designs.
In addition to flat tiles, Classical Stone has developed a lightweight stone cladding system, which can be produced as large-format flat cladding panels or moulded to virtually any shape.
The system allows for full integration with the decorative feature tiles, and, as such, is efficient to fix and removes the need for wet trades on site. The system can also be integrated with fibre-optic and LED lighting for a decorative effect.
The panels can be produced in standard components or made to a bespoke design. The Classical Stone team works alongside designers and architects to develop bespoke designs, colours and textures for both internal and external projects.
In additional to utilising traditional techniques and taking inspiration from classical design, the team is able to take advantage of 21st-century technology in the form of computer-aided design, three-dimensional printing, CNC modelling and water-jet cutting.
Since its initial launch at the Surface Design Show this year, Classical Stone’s new concept has received a positive response from clients all over the world, including those situated in Russia, Finland, South America, UAE and southern Europe.
