CP Hart‘s Italian design-focused Gloucester Avenue showroom in London was the first to display The Wanders Collection by prominent Dutch designer, Marcel Wanders. Having worked with brands as diverse as B&B Italia and MAC Cosmetics, Marcel has collaborated with Bisazza Bagno to create his first bathroom collection.
Marcel Wanders’ collection comprises two distinctive ranges – the Baroque-influenced Antiques series, and the sleek, contemporary Architectural series. Statement pieces in the Antiques range include dramatic, gothic-influenced baroque consoles which are crafted from resin and intricate mirrors, and are available in both black and white.
The futuristic-style bath, which works with both ranges, has been designed to resemble a giant bar of soap, a concept that Marcel dreamt about creating. Marcel explains: “The collection derives its original concept from a fantasy of mine, taking a bath immersed in soap: the apotheosis of clean! I kept this idea in me for a long time, until Bisazza helped me to express it.”
Splashes of colour are added to the pieces in the brassware, which comes in vibrant Lobster Red and chrome. For those that prefer a more linear approach to bathroom design, the Architectural Series features sleek console units in black and white, which sit alongside contemporary brassware and accessories.
The show-stopper of the collection is the Chandelier shower head, which is available in small and large sizes. Crafted from stainless steel and real crystals, a white LED strip has been added to create an extra sensory shower experience. Ideal for adding a touch of glamour, this statement showerhead complements the intricate and linear furniture.
