Exclusive Midland furniture designer, Mr McQueen, is recognised as a brand of choice for hotels, restaurants and bars thanks to its bespoke, high-quality luxury furniture and upholstery. The company donates 5% of its profit to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Mr McQueen’s distinctive designs have attracted attention from a wide range of sources, with a host of visitors at last month’s Independent Hotel Show enthusing interest in the brand’s luxurious products.
In addition to its high-end offering, Mr McQueen is able to upcycle existing furniture with a modern twist, giving pieces a new lease of life while keeping costs down.
Mr McQueen is also becoming known for its focus on its carbon footprint. 70% of its designs are made from environmentally-friendly materials.
Mr McQueen has worked on a vast range of projects, from installing deep-buttoned fabric walls to incorporating LED lighting into furniture and fitting out iconic entertainment venues.
Directors Peter Murtha and Lee Jones claim that Mr McQueen’s charity initiative – in which it donates 5% of all profits to Birmingham Children’s Hospital – is proving popular with customers.
They explain: “Our aim is to help raise funds for palliative care, to achieve amazing things for those children whose lives are tragically limited by a whole range of conditions.
“We are also working with the hospital to refurbish the Rainbow Room for free, so that children and families saying their final goodbyes can at least have some comfort in those difficult hours.”
