Following the success of its first two hotels in Amsterdam, young Dutch brand Max Brown Hotels has opened a 65-room property in Düsseldorf.
Founded in 2014 by Amsterdam-based hotel development and management company, Europe Hotels Private Collection, The Max Brown Hotels brand is all about creating social spaces for the urban traveller.
The essentials are all there for those after an authentic city experience – buzzing social spaces, free breakfast, WiFi and even rental bikes to explore the neighbourhood.
“With our first two hotels in Amsterdam, we have led the way: urban lifestyle, fresh design, a prime location, and a wholehearted and dedicated team can come at an affordable price,” says Liran Wizman, founder and owner of Europe Hotels Private Collection (EHPC).
“With Max Brown we created a young and playful brand without making any compromises on comfort or service. We are excited to bring this concept to Germany.”
Designer Alona Eliasi has turned the spacious ground floors into lively meeting spots for locals and travelers alike. The large windows and bright yellow neon signs showing the Max Brown signature stamp lead the way into the hotel bar.
The interior here is 50s retro chic, with black marble floors, mid-century furnishings, velvet cushions, oriental rugs, and wallpaper inspired by a lush wild rainforest.
The guest rooms, meanwhile, have been designed by Amsterdam-based designer, Saar Zafrir, who has transformed them into simple, yet cosy spaces, with a loving eye for detail and a strong emphasis on comfort and functionality.
All rooms boast Max Brown signature bedding and linen, tea sets and DEAD CLEAN bathroom amenities. Oak hardwood flooring, ornate wallpaper, wooden wall panels and window shutters in off-white hues warm up the rooms, while bright oriental rugs, bedspreads from HAY, and basketball hoops add some color.
Max Brown has even collaborated with Düsseldorf-based record label “Unique Records” to equip each room with a fine selection of vinyls, ready to be played on Crosley record players.
