Andrew Wilson, executive chef at Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club in Ashdown Forest, East Sussex, has been inducted into prestigious international gastronomic society, Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
Founded in Paris in 1950, Chaîne des Rôtisseurs can trace its origins to 1248 when King Louis IX wished to thank the trades which had contributed to the construction of Sainte Chapelle. Today, the principal goals of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs are to bring together members in over 80 countries, encourage the development of young chefs and sommeliers through competitions, and provide international food support and aid to those in need.
Andrew says: “It is a great honour to become a member of such a prestigious society. I am looking forward to working with the society in the future.”
Earlier this month, Andrew also became a member of the Master Chefs of Great Britain, a forum that guides and trains young people in the profession.
