Established in 1997, Astro Lighting has grown to become a leading UK-based designer and manufacturer of contemporary lighting. The company boasts exports to over 30 countries, which accounts for around half of all sales.
With year-on-year double-digit growth and revenues up 31% for the last financial year, Astro is now close to outgrowing its premises for the second time in five years. As such, the company has arranged to take possession of its adjoining business unit in Harlow Essex, which will provide an additional 21,000ft² of space. The consolidated 56,000ft² will expand warehouse capacity, allowing for new facilities such as a photographic studio and space for photometric testing.
Managing director, John Fearon, comments: “With our top ten European distributors reporting 80% year-on-year growth, we are extremely optimistic about the future, and can now be confident that our expanded facilities will cope with the larger volumes and we can continue to provide good customer service.”
Astro will take possession of the new unit in June.
