Hospitality Action is gearing up to celebrate its sixth Hospitality Action Week and preparations have been ramped up for what looks set to be the busiest seven days of fundraising yet.
The entire industry has been asked to join together and raise funds for Hospitality Action through a range of quick, easy and fun fundraising activities. The money raised will go towards helping some of the most vulnerable members of the hospitality industry.
Hospitality Action is calling for all industry sectors to take part in fundraising. From boutique hotels to catering colleges, hospitality workers from across the country are being asked to show their commitment to the fantastic industry they work in. From race nights, cake sales and garden tours to relaxing massages, there are numerous ways to get involved. The great thing about Hospitality Action Week is that it’s simple, flexible and most importantly – fun!
This year, a number of industry establishments have already signed up to take part, including all UK Red Carnation Hotels, Bunzl Catering Supplies, Malmaison Liverpool and Manchester, a number of Living Ventures restaurants and Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester to name a few – as well as several catering colleges across the UK.
Penny Moore, chief executive of Hospitality Action, says: “With hospitality being the fourth-largest employer in the UK, with 3m workers, there is massive potential for us to help our colleagues in need.”
