Broad Street Townhouse is the latest opening from The Butcombe Pub & Inns collection. – opening in Bath on July 23rd 2019.
This new boutique city-centre bolthole in Bath offers eleven impeccably designed bedrooms, and a café and speakeasy bar, The Blind Pig.
The grade two listed property, dating back to 1885, is nestled in the heart of the city, occupying 32-33 Broad Street. Situated in a conservation area and built from traditional Bath limestone, the Townhouse – now tastefully restored and carefully curated – provides an authentic Bath base from which to explore the city.
Butcombe Pub & Inns”¯ has led the extensive renovation to sympathetically restore the building back to its former 19th century glory – in partnership with award-winning design and build specialists, Concorde BGW.
Guests arrive via the original shopfront façade, greeted by monochrome Victorian inspired bordered tiling, high ceilings, sash windows and exposed timber staircases – leading to the eleven en-suite bedrooms set over three floors.
The striking interiors offer a laid-back and luxurious home-from-home – statement pieces of furniture and individual artwork are found throughout the bedrooms, each with king-size beds, decorated with soft shades and leafy green plants and come complete with complimentary Bramley botanicals and sustainable bamboo amenities in the bathrooms.
“Broad Street Townhouse is a passion project of ours and one we’ve long had in mind – since taking over the Pig & Fiddle pub next door back in 2015,” says Jayson Perfect, Managing Director of Pubs and Inns at Liberation Group.
“It was a shame to see such a beautiful building, filled with original features, sat empty in disrepair – but so rewarding to get stuck into the renovation and bring it all back to life. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming our first overnight guests and inviting in the local people of Bath to experience our new café and bar.”
