Sarah Calder has been promoted from executive assistant to head of projects at Chelsom, as the company consolidates its position as a leading supplier of decorative lighting to the international contract marketplace.
The aim of the role is to provide a managerial overview of all facets of project delivery from conception to completion – including design, drawing, tendering, purchasing, sales administration, manufacturing and delivery.
Sarah’s role during the last five years as executive assistant to the MD, Robert Chelsom, has played an integral part in developing the company’s position in the increasingly-competitive contract market. Sarah brings this experience – alongside a professional background in the contract market – to the new role.
MD Robert Chelsom says: “I am absolutely delighted to announce Sarah’s promotion to head of projects. As our reputation grows and we tackle bigger, more complex and more international projects, we have recognised the need to strengthen our senior management team with this new position.
“Sarah has proved an invaluable asset to the company since joining us, and her wide scope of responsibilities across the business has equipped her with the knowledge she needs to undertake her new position.”
