Marriott International has announced plans to open the first Courtyard by Marriott hotel in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The project will be developed by international real estate and textile specialist, Grupo Karim’s. The 121-room property, scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2015, will be located in the northern part of San Pedro Sula inside of the Altia mix-used development.

The new hotel will feature a business lobby, lobby bar, casual-dining restaurant, flexible meeting space and recreational facilities including a swimming pool and sauna. Additionally, it will include the brand’s new modern guest room design which offers flexible yet comfortable spaces that incorporate technology. Signature furniture and architectural elements replace traditional art in the new guest room design.
Marriott International is currently represented in Honduras with the 157-room Tegucigalpa Marriott Hotel. With more than 900 locations in 37 countries, Courtyard by Marriott has more locations than any other Marriott International brand.
